For the differently abled, it isn’t just the functional issues of day-to-day life, but even the stigma of society, that makes life a bit more difficult. People from the underprivileged sections of society, find it hard to build fulfilling lives for themselves. With our artificial limb centre in Udaipur, we at Narayana Seva Sansthan, have dedicated ourselves to helping people with disabilities from the economically weaker sections of society access the aids and appliances they require to lead their lives and gain the mobility and confidence they need to create bright futures for themselves and their families. We believe that the artificial limbs cost should not be a factor that inhibits people from becoming the best that they can be.

For years, we have been making consistent efforts to distribute the best artificial limbs in India, the price of which is generally too high for many specially-abled individuals to afford. We help them by manufacturing and providing prosthetic limbs that are custom manufactured to those in need, completely free of charge. We help individuals who were born with such afflictions, who have been afflicted by polio, or who are accident survivors, who cannot afford such aids, so they can start getting their life back to normal. To expand the reach of our initiative even further and to deliver the best artificial limbs in India to all who need them, we also regularly organise artificial limb or prosthetic leg camps in various cities across the country to benefit people from marginalised or economically weaker sections of society, who are in need of artificial prosthetic legs or arms. However, despite the many efforts and initiatives, and the many people we have managed to help thanks to our donors, many others still remain, waiting for their aid and resources. Equipped with a modern artificial limb centre where custom-sized prosthetics are manufactured ‘free of cost’ for the marginalised sections of society and for the people who lack access to basic healthcare and medical facilities because of their economic backgrounds, Narayan Seva Sansthan has already managed to help more than 4.3 lakh people live near comfortable lives. Also offering free corrective surgeries and rehabilitation facilities, along with skill-development training, Narayan Seva Sansthan is dedicatedly working towards building an inclusive society that recognises skills and abilities instead of physical disabilities and works together to cater to those with special needs.
