In Sanatan Dharma, every Amavasya holds special spiritual and religious significance; however, the Amavasya of the Ashadha month is considered exceptionally meritorious.
Yogini Ekadashi 2026 falls during the Krishna Paksha of the Ashadha month; it is considered a highly meritorious Ekadashi fast that attracts the special grace of Lord Vishnu.
ज्येष्ठ पूर्णिमा को कई स्थानों पर वट पूर्णिमा अथवा वट सावित्री पूर्णिमा के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है। इस दिन महिलाएँ अपने पति की दीर्घायु और अखंड सौभाग्य की कामना से व्रत रखती हैं तथा वट वृक्ष की पूजा करती हैं। धार्मिक ग्रंथों में वट वृक्ष को देवों का स्वरूप माना गया है, इसलिए इसकी पूजा अत्यंत पुण्यदायी मानी जाती है।
