Significance of Aja Ekadashi

That whoever offers Me a leaf, a flower, fruit, or water with devotion, I lovingly accept that offering made with a pure heart and sincere consciousness.

How to Observe Aja Ekadashi Fast?

The Aja Ekadashi fast is a sacred occasion for devotion and self-purification. Devotees observing the fast should consume a Sattvic diet from the night of Dashami Tithi. On Ekadashi, take a bath in the morning, wear clean clothes, and take a fasting vow before Lord Vishnu.

According to one’s capacity and health, one may observe a Nirjala (waterless), water-only, or fruit-based fast. Traditionally, devotees avoid grains and rice during the Ekadashi fast. Throughout the day, remember Lord Vishnu and chant the mantra:

“Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.”
