In honor of International day of persons with disabilities, the final match of the 3rd National Wheelchair Cricket Championship was held, and team Uttar Pradesh triumphed over Haryana by 10 wickets. The ground echoed with cheers for both finalist teams after the fascinating match.
On the same day, Narayan Seva Sansthan secured the Guinness World Record for organizing the biggest wheelchair cricket tournament. A big celebration was organized at the closing ceremony, where popular athletes joined to behold the momentous occasion. Narayan Seva Sansthan founder Kailash Ji “Manav” and president Prashant Agrawal presented the winner with a trophy and Rs. 2.5 lakh as a cash prize, whereas the runner-up received Rs. 1.5 lakh and both the 2nd runner-ups, Delhi and Uttarakhand, received Rs. 50,000 each as a cash prize. All the top players of the tournament were presented with miniature cricket bats signed by the star cricketers.
