Because of that, today he has a special identity in the field of all-around development and rehabilitation of the downtrodden, differently-abled, and destitute. Founder of Narayan Seva – Mr. Prashant Agarwal, son of Padma Shri Kailash ‘Manav’. Like his father, he filled new hope and new light in the lives of others with the mantra ‘Aharnish Seva Mahe’ i.e. ‘May I be devoted to continuous service’.
Mr. Prashant Agarwal took initiation to serve suffering humanity at an early age. He was born on 21 September 1973 in Udaipur from the womb of mother Mrs. Kamla Devi. After completing his graduation in science, he started his own business named Amco Enterprises. He also joined a friend’s pharma wholesale company and later, under the banner of ‘Paragon Mobility Retail Pvt. Ltd’, he started manufacturing ‘Orthopedic Soft Goods’, which continues to this day.
Although engaged in service work since childhood with the inspiration of his parents, in the year 2000 Narayan Seva Sansthan felt the need for his services full-time. Due to his faith and sense of service towards Lord Krishna, he left his business in the hands of his friend and joined the Sansthan. He expanded the services, established branches nationally and internationally, and modernized the entire system. His simple nature, soft-spoken and calm demeanor, and strong-willed dedication are his key qualities.
On the last International Day of Disability, 300 Divyangs from 16 states set the National Wheelchair Cricket World Record in Udaipur. The Sansthan has also organized Para Swimming and Blind Cricket Tournaments at the national level for the upliftment of the differently-abled. Narayan Para Sports Academy near Udaipur airport trains poor talented players in various sports for free.
Narayan Seva Sansthan is a temple of human service where medical, educational, health, and rehabilitation services are provided completely free of cost. Daily, 80-90 operations are done for patients suffering from polio and other congenital disabilities. Patients also receive free food and medicines. Recovered brothers and sisters are given vocational training in mobile repair, computers, and tailoring for self-reliance, and employment opportunities are provided.
To fulfill the dreams of the Divyang, the organization organizes Mass Marriage Ceremonies twice a year for Divyang and impoverished couples. So far, 38 Mass Marriages have been conducted, benefiting 2201 couples. More than 4.50 lakh differently-abled people have received successful operations. About 450 children are receiving education in the Sansthan’s Nirashrit Balgrah, Residential School, and Destitute Home.
Narayan Children’s Academy has been established for the future of economically backward, tribal, and working-class children. At present, 350 children are receiving free education, food, and transport up to the 5th standard in English medium with modern technology. Over 1800 Disability Prevention Service Camps have been organized in rural areas and more than 4000 across the country.
Lives of 7588 people suffering from serious diseases like heart, kidney, elephant foot, anal problems, and heart defects have been saved. More than 8 lakh people have been provided assistive devices like tricycles, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, hearing aids, and calipers.
The Sansthan has also provided relief to over 5000 differently-abled people through disability prevention camps in countries like Kenya, Mombasa, South Africa, Uganda, and Tanzania. The Sansthan has been honored by the Government of India and various State Governments for its humanitarian services. Founder Shri Kailash ji Manav received the Padma Shri award and President Prashant Agarwal is in the Limca Book of Records.
Under Prashant Agarwal’s leadership, the Sansthan supported broken families during the lockdown by distributing ration kits to 50,000 families. Daily requirements of medicine, food, oxygen, and beds were provided. The ‘Kuposhan se Suposhan’ campaign distributed nutritious food kits and medicines to mothers and children in tribal-dominated areas, including Kotra.
Narayan Seva Sansthan’s ‘World of Humanity’, a 450-bedded hospital, is being prepared in Udaipur. This state-of-the-art facility will provide free medical services to specially-abled people living with deformities. Currently, services are being operated through the 1100-bedded hospital in Sector-4 and Badi village. In 2022, under Prashant Agarwal’s efforts, India’s first ‘Central Fabrication Unit’ for Prosthetic and Orthopedic Equipment was established, producing highly accurate limbs using German machines. A ‘Vision Document’ has also been circulated for the next five years of service.
