Success Story : Siddharth

Siddharth Singh Rathore was born into a large joint family in Churu, Rajasthan. His birth was a cause for joy and celebration, but as he grew up, his family noticed that he had cerebral palsy. Both his legs were crossed, making him unstable, and he was mentally retarded.

Siddharth’s family was distraught when they realized their beloved boy had such a severe deformity. They tried everything they could think of to find a cure for him. They visited many hospitals, but every time they returned home disappointed as the cost of surgery was beyond their financial capabilities. Siddharth’s uncle was the only breadwinner in a family of ten, and his meager income was not enough to cover the cost of his nephew’s treatment.

But one day, a neighbor who had his surgery done in Sansthan informed them about Narayan Seva Sansthan, which provides free services to people with disabilities. With renewed hope, Siddharth’s parents took him to Sansthan, where he underwent his first successful operation on his right leg.

The family was overjoyed by the success of the operation. They had lost hope for Siddharth’s treatment and were so worried about his future. However, Sansthan’s free services gave them a glimmer of hope that Siddharth could lead a normal life. The next operation is scheduled for next month, and the family is hopeful that it will change Siddharth’s life and enable him to live like a regular child.
