हिन्दू पंचांग के अनुसार ज्येष्ठ मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी तिथि को अपरा एकादशी के नाम से जाना जाता है। कहा जाता है कि इस दिन भगवान विष्णु की उपासना करने तथा दीन-हीन, असहाय लोगों को दान देने से साधक के सभी दुख और दर्द दूर हो जाते हैं। साथ ही जीवन में आ रही समस्याओं से छुटकारा मिलता है।
