Ashadha Purnima, also celebrated as Guru Purnima, is a sacred day in Hindu tradition for worshipping Lord Vishnu and expressing gratitude to gurus. Observing fasts, performing charity, and meditation on this day are believed to destroy sins and usher in peace and prosperity.
Devshayani Ekadashi holds great significance in the Sanatan tradition. On this day, Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, goes into a state of deep sleep (yoga nidra) in the Kshirasagar (ocean of milk) for the next four months.
