Success Story : Zeenat

The birth of a child is supposed to be a time of joy and celebration. However, for Mohammad Iqbal Ansari and Mariam Bibi of Deogarh, Jharkhand, their happiness soon turned into sorrow. Their daughter, Zeenat, was born with congenital disabilities in both legs and her left hand, leaving her parents devastated.

As they searched for treatment, their financial situation made it difficult to find adequate medical care for their beloved child. Iqbal, a mill worker, and Mariam, a farm worker, worked tirelessly to provide for their family and Zeenat’s treatment, but the cost of surgery was out of their reach. They traveled to different hospitals seeking help, but their efforts proved futile.

Despite her disabilities, Zeenat grew up to be a beautiful and vibrant child who touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her parents loved her deeply and worried about her future. They wanted to provide their daughter with the best possible care, but their financial limitations made this seem impossible.

Hope arrived in an unexpected way when a friend of Iqbal from Rajasthan told him about Narayan Seva Sansthan and their free corrective surgery program. Without hesitation, Iqbal took Zeenat to Udaipur, where the first successful surgery was performed on her right leg. The transformation was incredible—Zeenat’s once-bent leg was now straight and much improved. The parents’ joy was palpable.

With the next surgery scheduled in a few months, Zeenat is on her way to a life where she can walk on her own. The future of Zeenat is about to get brighter.
