Akshaya Tritiya is a sacred day in the Hindu calendar that symbolizes new beginnings and is considered the best day to initiate new ventures, such as starting a business, buying property, or making an investment. The word “Akshaya” means “eternal” or “never-ending”, while “Tritiya” means “third day”. It falls on the third day of the bright half of the Hindu month of Vaishakha (April–May).

According to Hindu mythology, this day is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Parshuram, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is also believed that on this day, the river Ganges descended to Earth, and Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, showered blessings on her devotees.

Akshaya Tritiya is considered an auspicious day for charity and donations. Giving on this day is believed to bring infinite blessings and prosperity to the donor. The day is believed to be filled with good energy, and whatever one does on this day, whether it is charity, worship, or any other good deed, is believed to be multiplied many times over.
