Mahakumbh<\/strong> has started on the holy land of Prayagraj<\/strong>. Devotees from all over the country and abroad have gathered to take a holy dip at the confluence of life-giving Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati. Mahasnan has started in Mahakumbh with Paush Purnima Snan festival. The crowd of devotees at every ghat, the chanting of slogans and the echo of devotion has filled Prayagraj with amazing energy.<\/p>\n

Crowd gathered for Amrit Snan<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A great confluence of faith was seen on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti<\/strong><\/a> on the Sangam bank in Prayagraj. Devotees started flocking to the ghats for bathing since night. Elderly, women, youth – there was immense devotion on the faces of all. The atmosphere became completely spiritual with the echo of slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev on the Sangam bank. This surging flood of devotees was presenting a live glimpse of Indian culture and religious traditions.<\/p>\n

Grand procession of Naga Sadhus<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The biggest attraction of Maha Kumbh<\/strong><\/a> was the royal bathing procession of Naga Sadhus. Naga Sadhus of Panchayati Nirvani Akhara appeared in royal form with traditional spears, tridents and swords. Sadhus and saints reached Sangam on foot, horses and chariots. This procession filled the devotees with devotion and spirituality. In the procession of sadhus, the chanting of bhajans and the slogans of devotees gave divinity to the event.<\/p>\n

Faith of devotees<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From the night of Makar Sankranti, there was a rush of devotees in the Nagvasuki temple and Sangam area of \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bPrayagraj. Devotees full of faith were seen moving towards the Ganges in this divine event. Despite the bitter cold, the huge crowd of people taking a dip at the ghats of Sangam coast has shown that Maha Kumbh<\/a><\/strong> is an integral part of Indian culture.<\/p>\n

Echo of slogans on the ghats<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The atmosphere became devotional with the echo of slogans of Har Har Mahadev and Jai Shri Ram in the 12 km area of \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bSangam coast. Along with the bathing of saints and sages, common devotees also took a holy dip in the Ganga. This wonderful sight of bathing at the confluence was providing deep satisfaction and spiritual peace to the minds of the devotees.<\/p>\n

Significance of special donation on Makar Sankranti<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Donating after bathing on Makar Sankranti is considered extremely auspicious. Devotees must feed the poor on this day and donate blankets, copper, gold and khichdi. Donation of iron and urad is forbidden on this day. By following these traditions, not only virtue is attained, but the spirit of service and charity is also strengthened in the society.<\/p>\n
