Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14 November on the occasion of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday. Pandit Nehru was known for his special affection and love for children. He was called “Chacha Nehru”. He was of the view that children are the future of the country and only their development will build a strong nation.<\/p>\n

Importance and Activities of Children’s Day<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Children’s Day inspires efforts towards the education, protection and bright future of children. Nehru ji believed that if children get the right guidance, proper education and healthy environment, then they can make invaluable contributions to the society and the country.<\/p>\n

Various programs are organized by schools, institutions, and social organizations on Children’s Day. Competitions, sports, cultural programs and other activities are organized on this day especially to encourage the creativity of children. If children get encouragement and a positive environment, they can be able to face any challenge in life. Today’s children can become tomorrow’s leaders, scientists, doctors, and artists. On this day, children are also taught the importance of social responsibilities and moral values. Therefore, special programs should be organized for deprived children on this day, so that they too feel that they are an important part of society.<\/p>\n
