Do you know what is the hardest thing to do? It starts with something new. To have a new idea, to lay down its foundation stones, and to build it up from scratch. You have to go through a lot of hardships too, you will have to trust your idea. You will have to expect a lot of criticism and analyze that criticism and make your idea better. You will have to fight for your idea and prove its relevance, only then will it be recognized by other people. Ideas to create something new are hard to come by and such inspirations do not strike often. As the great Civil Rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. once said “Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”. it is particularly important to take the first step; the others will follow.
Helping people is the biggest Service of Humanity. We believe that God resides within the soul of a human being, so serving mankind is serving god. It is a very tough job to serve someone without expecting something in return from them. Such unconditional service is exceedingly rare to find. Human beings are the best creation of God, so when we are born as humans, we should follow the religion of humanity, and by doing so, we do the greatest service to mankind. In everyday life, you may find several such opportunities where you can help people out.
One such incident happened in May 1976 with Dr. Kailash Chandra Ji Agarwal when he was going to Sirohi. On his way, he witnessed an accident between a bus and a truck in which several innocent people got injured. Without wasting any precious moment, Dr. Manav took the severely injured passengers to the nearby hospital, located in Sirohi. His service to humanity did not end there. He kept visiting the admitted patients at regular intervals, and provided them with financial aid, eased the process of access to medical treatment among other requirements. This act of kindness of Dr. Manav showcased his dedication towards helping others in need, it showed that he had empathy and love for each of the people admitted to the hospital. In people, big incidents, leave a big mark on people. This was such an incident as this modified Dr. Manav’s life forever. He began to think about an NGO project that will take care of all the people who did not have the resources and means to have a proper medical treatment or do not have access to even the necessities of life. This is the bud that grew on to become a successful NGO of India, Narayan Seva Sansthan.
Another key member of our NGO is Sevak Prashant Agarwal, the President of Narayan Seva Sansthan. Over the years, Prashant Ji has played a vital role in the growth and expansion of Narayan Seva Sansthan. His vision has led the organization to many social works. Under his guidance, NSS has been providing the necessary help to the poor people and people who live in socially backward places. Our Non-Profit Organization has been working diligently to provide them with economic and social development. Prashant Ji is also a great Motivational Speaker. He delivers beautiful sermons to his followers that focuses on the greatness of India, promoting the Hindu culture of love and kindness and motivating people to believe in themselves and help others with a golden heart.
Lao Tzu once said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” To do great things in life, the most important thing one needs to have is empathy in one's heart, one should be willing to do great lengths to do what is right and what his conscience is telling him. Often, helping others become quite impossible due to several things, mainly financial reasons, but time and again people who have done great things have shown that no issue is big enough to stop you from doing what is right. If you have the will to do something good, keep working hard for it, a path will come out eventually.
People like Manav Ji and Prashant Ji are people with foresight. These great people have shown us that in the path of life, no one should be left behind. Disability should not be the reason to hold back a person from finding happiness in his life. NGO Narayan Seva Sansthan has always helped people with disabilities, be it, providing them with some prosthetics, or performing corrective surgeries that help them in leading a better life. We have started Free Schools for Kids having visual and hearing impairment. Provided people with disabilities with vocational training so that they can earn a living. Narayan Seva Sansthan has helped many people throughout its inspiring journey and will keep doing so in the future, and we hope to keep on growing and increasing our family.
