However, while comparing the GDP per capita of both the countries, the average income of India is very less compared to the UK. This low GDP per capita is a very clear indication of high poverty in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poverty in India is an issue that has been existing in the country for many years. Around 6-7% of the population in India lives in extreme poverty (as of 2022).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even though there are many government organisations and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.narayanseva.org\/en\/\"><b>famous NGOs in India<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that work towards helping and empowering the weaker sections of the society, the country still has a long way to go.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When it comes to donations, monetary donations are seen as one of the best ways to help needy people. But the question is where to donate the money if one wants to help the underprivileged?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Here are some of the places where one can donate their money for the needy people-<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Donating to NGOs<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are more than 30 Lakh <\/span><b>NGOs in<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> India where donors can donate their money. However, with such a big number, it is difficult to find a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.narayanseva.org\/best-ngo-in-india\/\"><b>good NGO in India<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> where the donor&#8217;s money will be wisely used.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hence, the <\/span><b>biggest NGOs in India <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that work towards uplifting the underprivileged sections of the society are usually seen as a good option to donate<\/span><b>. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An example of such biggest<\/span><b> NGO in India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is Narayan Seva Sansthan. The Sansthan is a globally recognized trust with more than 480 branches in India alone and several branches in countries like Thailand, Australia, UK, Japan, Canada, and so on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Donating to disaster relief funds<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Natural disasters and calamities are a huge hit to the people (especially lower middle class) that pushes them to poverty. In order to help such people, the government and other organisations have set up various disaster relief funds like The Natural Disaster Response Fund and so on where one can donate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Donating for covid relief funds<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the onset of pandemic, over 23 crore Indians have been pushed to poverty by 2021. In order to help these people, the government and organisations have come up with several Covid-19 relief funds where the public can donate. PM CARES (Prime Minister&#8217;s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund) is an example of this.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Donating for religious purpose\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Usually, a religious donation can be either a charitable one (religious charities) or a non-charitable one (like money donated for rituals or to priests). Focusing on the religious charities, these can be either used for religious purposes like religious education or for providing services and care to the community like providing food or shelter to the needy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hence, if you are donating to religious charities that uplift the underprivileged in society, it can be a great way of helping the needy.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Narayan Seva Sansthan<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Narayan Seva Sansthan is one of the <\/span><b>best NGOs in India <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that aims in uplifting the Divyangs and other underprivileged sections of the society. The sansthan has more than 480 branches in India and has its global presence in many countries like Thailand, Japan, USA, UK and so on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of their offerings include &#8211;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Treatment of underprivileged and specially abled people in their hospitals.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than 80 corrective surgeries of the divyangs on a daily basis.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mass marriage ceremonies held for poor and specially abled people.
