| Sansthan's Move towards Self-dependence of the Handicapped |
| They related their woes …… We shed our tears |
| |
| ISHWAR IS NO MORE A BURDEN NOW |
| |
The joy of having the first child in the family….It soon turned into sorrow when they learnt that I became a polio victim at the age of two years. This suffering made my father almost mad….I was taken to places like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, for treatment but all in vain. One day my uncle who had heard about Narayan Seva Sansthan, brought me to Udaipur. My operation took place on 1.10.1997. I was operated upon four times free of charge in the Sansthan. I stayed there in the hospital for four months and was provided all facilities free of charge. The Sansthan made me self-dependent financially and socially by making me 'In charge of Reception Room'. |

| Their Story in their own word |
| Raju becomes an inspiration, even though he has no legs |
| |
He has no legs since birth. He completed school and college education as a regular student and won many prizes at school and college level in debate, essay-writing, slogan making and dance competitions. Did his computer diploma with 78%marks. He has no legs but has given over 600 dance programmes. Encouraged the able and the disabled. |
I have been associated with Narayan Seva Sansthan's sewa since early days. I give inspiration to the handicapped persons to lead a new life. |
At present I welcome guests in the reception room of the Sansthan, guide the handicapped and inspire them. I tell them that I have handicap in only one limb but I am happy even though I have no leg. I am fortunate that I inspire those handicapped who come to the Sansthan. |
